NIGERIA: Jamila Noma Thanks OD Supporters for Their Prayers

Jamila Noma

“I must confess that the prayers of the faithful give me joy. Even the success I am experiencing is as a result of these people. I am really seeing the result of the prayers offered in faith. I will one day surprise them all. They need to be informed that God has answered their prayers in my life”.

These are the words thankfully expressed by Jamila Noma, the young Christian woman who was forced into marriage with a Muslim by her father at the age of 15..

The messages of encouragement from the believers around the world, helped develop spiritual muscle in Jamila which enable her to overcome her difficult circumstances.

After spending years of her young life in hiding, Jamila can now thank God for what He has done in her life. Not only has He broken the chains of a forceful marriage, but He also gave her life new meaning. Jamila testifies that her Muslim father has realised his mistake and has agreed to let her live her life the way she chooses. So dramatic has been the restoration from God, she could pay her father a visit this past Christmas!

Jamila has completed her tailoring course and she is now somewhat of an expert in the field. She has also enrolled into secondary school and is busy with her second year. In her first year back at school, there was a crisis between the Christian and Muslim students. Jamila testifies that this particular situation had strengthened her faith.

Jamila urged OD supporters to thank God with her for all that He has done for her.

Prayer Points

1.    Please thank God with us for the amazing things He has done in Jamila’s life. Thank Him especially for the fact that reconciliation between Jamila and her father has taken place.
2.    Please continue to pray for her spiritual journey. Pray that God would continue to strengthen her faith and help her be a testimony to others of His work of grace in her life.
